Lewis Hall

 

Lewis started playing the Bass guitar aged 16 and after a childhood of piano lessons and learning a guitar chord here and there he soon took to the Bass and taught himself by playing along with Led Zeppelin records.  His professional career started at the Key Theatre in Peterborough where Lewis has played in various show bands including 'Fame', 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and many Pantomimes.

Lewis joined Think Floyd in 2001 after hearing about the job vacancy when the band played at the Key Theatre.  He jumped at the chance of being able to play with the band and has loved touring with them ever since.

Lewis also enjoys working as a musical director for various stage-school programmes for youngsters.  Working with actors and choreographers they rehearse a well known musical over 5 days for the children to perform at the end of the week.  Lewis has worked on these projects at Peterborough's Key Theatre, the Radlett Centre and more recently in Dubai.

Lewis has played in various Rock, Blues and function bands including a Jimi Hendrix band with drummer Steve. He also enjoys writing and recording with singer Hayley Sanderson and the two of them have recently recorded some of their tracks in London - A few tracks from her forthcoming album can be heard at www.myspace.com/hayleysanderson

Lewis is also one half of childrens musical comedy duo 'The Burple Brothers' who are also touring theatres in 2008 after a successful run at last years Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Lewis' favourite Floyd tracks vary from time to time, but at the moment they are 'Summer '68', 'Fearless' & 'Dogs'.
