..'On An Island'.. -
On Saturday 25th March Think Floyd showed their
devotion to keeping the show fresh and up to date by
playing 'On An Island' at the Royal Concert
Hall in Nottingham. 'On An Island' is
David Gilmour's new single and Think Floyd fell in
love with this track, not only because the music
sounds classic Floyd (circa 'Obscured by Clouds'
maybe), but because the lyrics reminded the band of
their week on the Greek Island of Rhodes at the
Lindos Floyd Fest last June. Lindos has
had a big Pink Floyd connection for many years, the
band themselves have spent much time there and Dave
Gilmour still owns a house overlooking the beautiful
St. Pauls Bay where Think Floyd performed for 2
nights with a full moon, stars (and strong winds!)
Think Floyd will be performing 'On An Island' for
their next few shows. Fans may have spotted
that the band are prone to changing the last-but-one
song in the second set on a regular basis: this is
known as the 'optional' spot and TFloyd try to do
something a little bit unusual here. Past songs have
included 'Cirrus Minor', 'Cymbaline', 'Stay', 'San
Tropez', 'Fearless' and more recently 'Paintbox'.
Think Floyd are always open to suggestions for songs
to play in this section. Please feel free to
email
the band with suggestions or requests, alternatively you can
leave them a message on the
Forum.

..A new face onstage with Think
Floyd - April '06... Regular fans may have
noticed a slight change to the Think Floyd line-up
at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Friday
7th April. The band were joined onstage by Jilly
Cooper - not the famous author but a singer from
North London! The Folkestone show was Jill's first
gig with Think Floyd and she was made to feel very
welcome by the crowd particularly with her
performance of 'Great Gig In The Sky'. Look
out for Jill later this year!
..Lewis' Elbow - July '06..-
Think Floyd's spring tour is now finished,
they played over 25 dates up and down the UK
and are now taking a short break over the
summer. The tour finished last weekend in
Bangor, North Wales, but the show nearly
didn't happen after Lewis fell over on his
right elbow when walking off stage in
Chelmsford the night before, it was feared
that it may be broken but Lewis got it
bandaged up ready for the show in Bangor,
but due to not being able to bend his arm
Lewis gave a good impression of a member of
'Blink 182' playing his guitars strapped
down low by his knees! After an x-ray the
next day Lewis was relieved to find that the
bone was not broken. Lewis is now resting
at home before jetting off to Dubai next
week to teach the musical 'Les Miserables'
in theatre workshops over there.

..New Forum -
Sept '06....The new Think Floyd forum
is now online and
fully interactive. The old 'Fans Think' forum
was becoming slower and less reliable with all
the hundreds of messages stored within it, but
we've been busy copying them over to the new
forum and now you can read & reply to messages
from early 2003 to the present. The new forum is very easy
it to use, it just requires you to register with
a username, password and email address, then you
will be able to reply to a topic already there
or start a new thread. Visit the new forum
here!
